Another thing to note is that you must not eat 3 hours before bedtime. Your body will just store the food as fat. If you feel that you really must munch on something, then go for vegetables.

And of course, in order to have a flat stomach, you must do the proper crunches. This must be done at least 3 times a week. This should train your abs.
